Stockbridge Select Board votes to share a Council on Aging director with neighboring Lee in a one-year trial. The board voted 2-0, with one abstention, to enter into an intermunicipal agreement under which Stockbridge will pay just over $21,000 — roughly 25 percent of the shared director's total salary and benefits — against a current budget of $25,000 for the position; the agreement takes effect July 1. In a separate unanimous vote, the board prospectively ended health insurance eligibility for elected part-time officials, effective May 7, 2026, citing future cost exposure under MGL Chapter 32B.

Town Administrator Michael reported that salt shed renovations came in under $100,000 after a $500,000 reserve and a $1 million-plus replacement bid, with savings to be redirected to bridge work, and that the Route 183 pavement project covering 2.6 miles to the Lenox line is on track for fall. A proposed fee schedule — including a contested jump from $30 to $100 for one-day alcohol licenses — was continued to the June 4 meeting.
