Stockbridge Fire Station Committee Approves Minutes, Adjourns 4-0
Other Committee · Meeting of April 14, 2026
Stockbridge fire station committee votes 4-0 twice, launches feasibility study with Skanska. Committee Chairman Scott led a roll call approving October's minutes with members Bruce Auerbach, joining remotely from Philadelphia, Jake Bikowski and Peter, before Skanska project manager Aaron outlined a $75,000 feasibility budget with about $41,000 remaining after the firm's fee. Aaron said comparable studies have run "$25,000 to $35,000" and floated a target near $35,000.
The committee weighed a Department of Public Works site against a wetlands-adjacent intersection parcel, discussed a six-bunk-room design tied to a planned full-time paramedic ambulance service, and set monthly meetings for the third Thursday at 5 p.m., with an architect RFQ expected within weeks and the next session May 21.
