Planning Board · Meeting of October 6, 2026

Stockbridge Planning Board member W. Eric Egan announced he is leaving town and resigning his seat, prompting plans for a joint meeting with the Select Board as soon as October 15 to fill the vacancy. Chair Katherine Fletcher said scheduling was complicated by member Carl Sprague being "out temporarily" and member Don Chabon's absence from the meeting.

The board unanimously approved corrected minutes from its August 18 and September 15 meetings and approved a sign permit for 6 Elm Street, a 9.5-square-foot sign within the business district's 16-square-foot limit. Fletcher said consultant David Cameron has finished a Chapter 61 parcel review ahead of a November 3 special permit hearing in the Lake Protection Overlay District, and that she has asked attorney Donna Brewer to draft a local energy siting bylaw in response to a new state process effective October 1. Egan, thanked for his service, replied, "It was my pleasure and my honor."
